The Nile planter has the shape of the Indian Mutka and is a self watering planter. The planter has an outer glazed shell and an inside planter of terracotta. The bigger self watering planters can be fed by water from a hole on top which is designed to accumulate between the terracotta pot and the outer casing of glazed ceramic. In the smaller ones, one will have to lift the inner planter and fill water in the outer shell. Water is then used up by the plant as required by it. Water needs to be refilled from time to time.
